      It’s almost Halloween and things are being done a bit different this year. Many neighborhoods are opting out of traditional Trick-Or-Treating and many families will not even be purchasing costumes for Halloween. However, despite all of the tricks this year has thrown at us all, there are still some treats to be had! Several areas around the Grand Strand have crafted safe and socially distanced events to keep the fun and spooky Halloween spirit alive and well! Check out these 10 Halloween and Fall events going on across the Grand Strand within the next couple of weeks to celebrate Halloween.
 
1.     1st Annual Halloween Town Fall Festival | Conway, SC
This event is a family-friendly Fall Festival with ongoing dates around Conway. There is a daily Pumpkin Patch by Thompson Farm, events by Heros 4 Hire, and the first ever “Scarecrow’s Row”. There’s even some awesome kid’s slides and bouncy houses, carnival games, and a HUGE outdoor movie screen to enjoy Halloween classics. Don’t miss all of the fun!


 
2.     Complimentary Movies Under The Stars | Market Common
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and the whole family to enjoy these fun and FREE films.
10/23 – Beetlejuice
10/30 – Hocus Pocus
Please remember to maintain social distancing, we will be drawing circles around each family. There are also extra hand sanitizing stations and all vendors will be taking COVID precautionary measures. Masks will be required in areas where you may come in contact with others.
 
3.     Autumn Nights In The Field Of Light | Brookgreen Gardens
Come spend a wonderful evening that begins with an open-air Lowcountry Supper of Frogmore Stew and roasted oysters. Then, wander through Bruce Munro’s exquisite Field of Light with your favorite beverage. Tickets are $45 for members and $50 for the general public. Your ticket will include your meal, and a served buffet of She Crab or Vegetable Soup, Steamed Oysters, Frogmore Stew, Green Beans, Cole Slaw, Rolls & Iced Tea. A cash wine and beer bar will be available. There is also a vegan option available.
 
4.     Drive Thru Trick-Or-Treat | Barefoot Landing
Just like the name implies it’s literally Drive Thru Trick-Or-Treating. Put the kids in their costumes and jump in the car for a socially distanced Halloween event. Best part: You never have to get out of the car!


 
5.     Trunk Or Treat | Buoys On The Boulevard
Swing by Buoys in North Myrtle Beach for Trunk or Treat, petting zoo, Carolina Quench, Renzi The Magician, OD Pavilion Arcade, apple cider, hotdogs, chips, and lots of treats and fun!
 
6.     Drive-Thru Trunk Or Treat | Carolina Forest Recreation Center
Join the Horry County Parks & Recreation for a Trunk-Or-Treat Drive-Thru event. Participants will stay in their vehicles and pick up pre-packaged items and vendor stations will be adequately spaced and protective equipment will be required when giving out treats.
 
7.     2020 Halloween Golf Cart Parade | Conway, SC
Conway Downtown Alive is hosting the first ever Golf Cart Parade. Gather your family and friends Halloween morning, choose a theme, and decorate your cart or the spooky season. Awards will be presented, and spectators are invited to view the parade along the route, but are to maintain social distancing procedures. Participants MUST register in advance. Rules and regulations and registration can be found in the link above.
 
8.     Fall Festival And Car Show | Market Common
Free admission to the festival at Solid Rock at Market Common. There is a cost for registration of cars for the car show and there will be trophies for the cars. Trunk-Or-Treat, Fall Bingo, Giant Slide, games, make pumpkins on a stick, photo opportunities, and much much more! Social distancing will be required
 
9.     Trunk-Or-Treat | Surfside Beach
Trunk or Treat is a fun, safe, and FREE event for the whole family! We will have decorated car trunks outside on our campus. Families go from car to car and “Trunk or Treat” and receive candy. Pre-registration is required to limit the crowd, the event will be outside, and cars will be separated by 10ft. There will be a one-way flow and social distancing will be maintained at all times. Volunteers will also be screened at the beginning of the night and will wear face masks and gloves.

10.  Dr. Scream’s Fright Farm – 3 Horrifying Haunts | Thompson Farm
